About Me
My paintings begin with moments that stay with me.
A sunset that lingers long after the sun has disappeared. The quiet rhythm of hills rising above the San Francisco Bay. The sound of sugar cane swaying in the wind where I grew up in Barbados. The vivid dreams that blur the line between memory and imagination.
Working primarily in textured acrylic, I create contemporary abstract paintings inspired by places, memories, and emotions rather than literal landscapes. The layered grooves and repeating forms invite changing light to become part of each piece, revealing new details as the day unfolds.
I believe art has the ability to slow us down. In a world that constantly demands our attention, I hope my paintings offer a moment of stillness—a chance to reflect, reconnect, and discover something personal within the work.
Today I live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I continue to explore texture, color, and the emotional landscapes that shape my artistic practice.
